Education
"Greyton House Village School Education "

Greyton House School is a fully accredited member of ISASA (Independent Schools Association of South Africa). In 2010 the school was accredited with a glowing ISASA Quality Assurance Assessment as a result of input by all stakeholders, staff, parents, governors and pupils. The academic programme is of a high standard, catering for a wide range of abilities.

The school is extremely fortunate to have highly qualified, competent teachers who are passionate about their subjects and deeply caring of the children.

An experienced, qualified educational support teacher offers individual, privately arranged tuition at the school, should extra help be required.

At Greyton House we believe strongly in innovative, out-of-the box education that challenges traditional views of how a “typical” school should look. Our curriculum, whilst following the Western Cape CAPS as a guideline, is also based on international best practice, and is designed to ideally suit the unique environment of Greyton. We believe in educating and enriching individual children in a safe, inspiring environment.

Enrichment Period

Following our commitment to holistic education, we have introduced an “Enrichment Period” on Friday afternoons. During this time our children in Grades 4 to 7 experience alternative subjects aimed at enriching their school experience. The subjects are flexible and change throughout the year. Currently we offer cooking, crafts, needlework and chess.
