Message from the Headmaster
Gareth Dry

Mr Gareth DryWelcome to Greyton House School. Our motto is, “A Childhood to Remember.” However, this is not just a motto, it is something that we at Greyton House truly and passionately believe in. We are privileged to be situated in one of the most beautiful and unique parts of South Africa and our ethos and curriculum is designed with our environment in mind. At Greyton House parents and students can expect a warm, caring, family environment where children are nurtured in small classes with exceptional teacher to pupil ratios. At the same time, in spite of our small size and relatively isolated location, we pride ourselves on being on the cutting edge of educational trends world-wide. As a school we have embraced the concept of “Brain-Based Education” which we believe prepare our students for life in a constantly changing, sometimes intimidating world. Our teachers have on average 30 years of experience each, and they are molding young adults who are caring, intuitive, responsible and innovative. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach to education, with our strong compulsory sports program, as well as our sports clubs that embrace non-mainstream sports such as mountain biking, hiking and orienteering, gymnastics and lawn bowls. We have developed a stellar reputation in the arts with our excellent choirs, art projects, drama productions and music. I am confident that you and your child will find a special home with us here in beautiful Greyton, and I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful family.
